Acupuncture and Cancer

Acupuncture is a type of used along with standard cancer treatment. It can help control many symptoms and side effects from cancer, surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy. These are just some of the issues acupuncture can treat:

Does acupuncture hurt?

The needles used in acupuncture are very thin. Most people do not find treatments painful. In fact, most people find treatments relaxing.

Is acupuncture safe?

Yes. Acupuncture at Huntsman Cancer Institute is safe for people who are being treated for cancer or have been treated in the past. All needles are approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The needles are sterile, only used once, and then disposed.

All of our providers are nationally certified and licensed in Utah.

How do I make an appointment?

To make an appointment, call 801-587-4585. Treatments are offered Monday through Friday from 7 am to 7 pm at the Linda B. and Robert B. Wiggins Wellness and Integrative ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ Center, located on the first floor of the cancer hospital.
