About Build-a-Bone: Learn How to Keep Your Bones ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½y
Osher Center for Integrative ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ at University of Utah is pleased to offer the Build-a-Bone Program. This unique, innovative program is a four-part series of two-hour classes where you will learn how to care for and strengthen your bones and optimize your bone health. We also focus on treating and preventing low bone density or osteoporosis.
Our classes are taught by medical professionals and educators at University of Utah ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ and focus on exercise: posture, body mechanics, weightlifting, core strengthening, balance, and walking. We also review individual medical aspects and nutrition for optimal bone health.
Who Should Attend?
Adults who have or are at risk for osteopenia or osteoporosis
How Do I Sign Up?
Classes are offered six times throughout the year (two days a week) at the L.S. Skaggs Patient Wellness Center and virtually via Zoom. Past Build-a-Bone participants can enroll in an ongoing exercise class, which focuses on reviewing technique and learning new exercises.
