Improving Function & Quality of Life
Support Groups
We offer support, information, and educational services for people with movement disorders and their families.
At University of Utah ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½'s Movement Disorders Clinic, patients can benefit from the latest treatments to help improve function and quality of life. Our extensive research programs and integrated team of medical professionals work with each patient and family to determine the most appropriate treatment plan for specific types of movement disorders, including Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, Tourette’s syndrome, dystonia, and tremors.
In addition to providing drug treatment options, the clinic includes collaboration with the Department of Neurosurgery and other disciplines for surgical placement of deep brain stimulation electrodes when appropriate. The clinic also includes a representative from the American Parkinson Disease Association and provides access to the Brain ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ Learning Center, our educational resource center established for the patient and their family.
